Dear Friends of Life In Balance,

Thank you for helping to make our "Om to Ohm" CD release concert a big success! The evening was the perfect convergence of all good things - a landmark venue, music, light, delicious food and, most of all, the high vibes from YOU!! Not knowing how the concert attendance would turn out, we were deeply touched by the genuine support of our community. Yes, the vibe is alive and strong in the Pittsburgh and surrounding areas. The concert was a lot of fun and we are still being nourished from the high vibes. More Music! is what we are hearing from you. In response, Life In Balance is contemplating a hypno-rhythmic music festival this winter to keep it flowing, to keep us moving. (Tip of the flute goes to Rosa Colucci who fought for us and won a center spread in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette read the article here: PG Article )

Speaking of Flowing. Life In Balance is one of the organizers for the Flow Fest, Pittsburgh's first Art, Music and Eco Festival - a free event creatively celebrating our rivers. It's all happening on Saturday, September 8th on Herr's Island near downtown Pittsburgh. Flow Fest is designed to be an environmentally focused, fun-filled music and art event. Music and Art in a Sacred Space. Our goals are to raise awareness and donations for "The Tireless Project" and have the water draw us together. The Tireless Project is a hearty group of caring souls who remove debris from the Pittsburgh Rivers. The day starts at 11 am and flows till 5. We cannot have a Life In Balance without a Planet In Balance - so B sharp to B there and B aware. For all the details please view/download a Flow Fest flyer here: Flyer And if you would like to participate in the Flow, call Myrna at 412-874-9711 and volunteer for part of the day.

As seasons shift with-in their cycles and summer's light merges with fall's mellow mood, come soak up more outdoor fun with us as at the free concerts at Shadyside. The Arts Festival on Ellsworth. This is one of the best street festivals that Pittsburgh has to offer. It's like having a little bit of Mardi Gras or Key West here at home.

We then go on the road, for a little while.

Sept. 21-23, Friday through Sunday, Institute of Whole Life Healing in Lexington, Kentucky and "The Honoring & Celebration of our Great Mother and Her Newest Sacred Feminine Mysteries Priestesses" calls to us. This is a full weekend of many events, please see: Many Paths

As this newsletter goes to "print" we are still in the process of booking and finalizing concerts and sound meditation session. While we are in Kentucky we thought of looking into Music City USA, Nashville, TN. Anyone having leads in this region, please contact us at: lifeinbalance@comcast.net.

Back in Pittsburgh Friday, October 19, with an event joining Yoga and the live music of Life In Balance in Sewickley from 6 to 8.. Music & Yoga: A Yoga and Sound Healing Experience with Yoga In Sewickley leading simple yoga postures (optional) while listening to the live music of Life In Balance, followed by a classic Sound Healing Meditation at the Sewickley Hills Borough Park. Details below. Come and do easy yoga or simply be in the healing vibrations for two hours. Families encouraged to attend.

DownUnder Coffee Shop will host a Life In Balance concert in the newly renovated basement of the Allegheny Unitarian Universalist Church on the North Side on Saturday October 20th from 7:30 to 9:30. The DownUnder Coffeehouse features the finest in local acoustic music. The coffeehouse is open monthly on the third Saturday of the month (more or less), Sept through April. Baked goods, desserts and beverages will be for sale during the concert and the coffee is always free. Details and links below.

Dale Cooper is hosting the first ever David Lynch Twin Peaks Festival on Saturday the 27th at the Shadow Lounge in Pittsburgh. Life In Balance and the other bands will be playing in the main room, and rare Lynch stuff will be screening in the Blue (Red) Room. I can't imagine how surreal the combo of trancy Life In Balance and the genius of Twin Peaks. If you're a fan of this subconscious effecting movie, you must come. Details below.

Thank you for taking the time to read our Om-Line, coming out to the shows and for taking the time to nourish your blessed beingness with the vibrations of good health. Stay loose in the tight spots.

May the Current be with you,
Ami & Steve

Other news: Our new CD OM to OHM is out now on Koch Records We have released an official "bootleg" CD called "Soundhealer". This is the closest that we have come to capturing a live sound healing meditation on disc. "Soundhealer" includes the spoken meditation that is used during our live sound sessions. After nine years we found that it is time for this release. "Soundhealer" is currently available only in a limited run and won't be sold in retail stores. To order it and to sample bits of the music go to: CD Baby. Soundhealer as well as Star and OM to OHM are also available through iTunes and other digital download sites.

About our "self-released" CDs:

Currently we have 3 independent CD's available. The CD "Star" is global in its reach. This is music for active listening, for dancing and driving. Star is the "out-breath". To order "Star" through CD Baby click HERE Our second CD is "LIVE". This music is similar to our live sound healing meditations but without the spoken section. Our newest self produced addition is "Soundhealer" which is very close to a live sound healing session and includes the spoken meditation. Live and Soundhealer are the "In-breaths". Star and Sounderhealer are $15 each and LIVE is $10, plus s/h.

Myspace site.
Also, we need some "reviews" on these download sites. Please take a few minutes and write a few lines and spread the sound. We greatly appreciate your contribution to the continued expansion of the Life In Balance sound.

Thank you and we'll see you on the sound waves.
Ami and Steve.
